Binn Éadair, or Howth in English, is a small village nearby Dublin. It’s known for it’s beautiful nature and cliffs and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Dublin! You can go there by either bus or DART (that one takes about 30 minutes max?) and it’s not expensive to get there as well.
I was lucky because 1. it wasn’t raining and 2. the sun was shining! It was shivering cold in Dublin but the sun made it so much better! It was harder to take pictures though, because of the harsh light, but I still think you can see how beautiful it was. The tracks are quite rocky & muddy but it’s okay! I walked around a lot longer than I thought though and on my way back I took a shortcut, only to be surprised by a really really steep hill. Luckily a friendly Irish lady helped me and hold my hands while I tried my best not to fall on my face ;) And just when I went back to Dublin, it started to rain. Talking about great timing! (However, later that day, I wanted to go to the Kilmainham Gaol and got lost and found myself in a blizzard, all of a sudden. Ten minutes later the sun was shining again! Ireland’s weather is kinda.. drunk, I guess.)
Well we all know that writing is not my biggest talent, plus I have nothing more to say about Howth except that I loved it so much. Even though I was just 2 full days in Dublin, it was worth the time to go to Howth! I definitely do not regret it, although it left me with less time in Dublin itself. When I was in Edinburgh, I found Arthur’s Seat to be my most favourite moment of the trip and the same definitely goes for Howth. I also saw a little robin, which I also saw at Arthur’s Seat :) I guess they like hills ;)
