So, here’s the first part of I-don’t-know-how-many-posts about London! I went there last weekend with Janneke to see Franz Ferdinand, but that was just an excuse to go to London, really. (A good excuse though!) We both had been to London before, so decided to do a few things we both hadn’t done before. So we went to Notting Hill (I’ve been to London twice before and never went to Notting Hill, oops!) and Portobello Market, Brick Lane (and the market there on Sunday, so many people!), Camden Town (well we both have been here but what’s not to love about all the little shops and markets and great cheap food?). The weather was great as well, so at times we just sat in Kensington Park to chill and enjoy the weather. It wasn’t until the 4th day, when Janneke went home, that I actually saw the big tourist attractions like the Big Ben or the Tower Bridge. It felt kinda weird being in London without seeing it’s landmarks, but also good at the same time. It felt just like home (only better) ;)
We left early on Friday morning and I packed at the very last minute (sigh, I never learn) so I forgot to bring my 2nd camera lens with me. This means I was stuck with my 20mm 1.7 lens for whole length of the trip. This was kinda frustrating, because I also forgot to bring my UV filter and the weather was really good, so the f1.7 was useless and I was stuck with the 20mm, no zooming in or out whatsoever. I brought my Olympus Pen Mini with me, because the DSLR is just TOO HEAVY. But the Pen is less capable than the DSLR, so kinda crappy pictures, oops! I have discovered RadLab recently though (too bad it costs 150 euro!) so I tried to make them a bit more bearable by using some filters ;)
Anyway, London itself was quite lovely. I lost my iPhone though, that was quite a stressful situation! Turns out it fell out of my bag at a pub, but the owner found it. According to him I was ‘the luckiest person alive’ and the first one that actually found her phone back. Faith in humanity: restored! So uhm yeah, that was a bit stupid, but further than that I didn’t destroy or lose anything on this trip, hurray.
Here are some random pictures that I threw together, will post more soon :)

I really love the look of the photos despite the lens problems, there’s a great film quality with the muted colours! London is always a treat :)
