English: No epic landscapes today but just a few boring pictures of something very exciting: a cat cafe! Lots of pussies! ;)
As I’ve been in Edinburgh several times, there was just one thing left that was on my list that I had to do: go to the cat cafe! As a cat and coffee lover, this sounded like a dream. At first I felt a little weird and creepy, being all by myself, visiting a cat cafe? I sure felt like a weird, lonely catlady haha! But soon I realized it wasn’t weird, it was fun! The coffee was nice, the cakes were great and the cats were just adorable, fun, cuddly and playful! In case you’re worried about the kitties: they’ve been raised in the cafe since they were kittens. They are not up for adoption either, as they are so used to the cafe. It might feel a little sad or even feel like they are being used, but trust me, the kitties are HAPPY. And why wouldn’t they? They’ve got aaaaall the toys a cat could want, plus a whole lot of furry friends to play or cuddle with and also a lot of respectful humans that will play with them and pet them every day! I think I envy them a whole lot ;)
I hope to visit some more cat cafes when I’m in Japan :)
SO FLUFFY! Also, still totally fixated on what’s happening outside haha.
Well, first of all you have to make a reservation. You can do so at their site http://maisondemoggy.com or at the cafe itself. But you won’t get in without a reservation! It works with time slots, so you’ll have one hour (or more if you pay more, but as it’s 7 pounds it’s quite expensive)
Then you’ll get there and get a little information and instructions (like never pick up a cat!) and then it’s playtime! Sometimes the kitties are sleepy or tired, sometimes they are playful and sometimes they just want to cuddle for a bit. They also want to steal your cakes, so beware ;)
My favourite is Elodie, the Sphinx kitty! I always found them to be a little creepy but this little one has stolen my heart for sure! Here’s some pictures that I’ve shamelessy stolen from their Facebook page! (Do follow them for adorable kitty pictures!)

Awww, the grey one on the windowsill! They’ve finally opened a cat café in Barcelona… I’m a dog person, but I’m curious so I may visit it soon! :)
