This was on the 4th day and the second tour in a row, or even the third actually! At this point I was kinda done with tour guides and other tourists that were trying to make some chit chat haha. I remember that at one point I was so busy with taking selfies (see picture above) and just soaking in the marvelous view, that I even was too late for the bus. Well they waited for me but they weren’t very pleased, oops. Again, I’m very glad I did those tours and there wasn’t any option for me but I can’t wait to go back one day (in summer!) and travel through Iceland by car. Not sure when that’s going to happen though haha.
On this day I did the classic Golden Circle tour, which is also a recommendation (although I liked the South Coast better). However, just a small tip, if you’re going to book a bus tour, please book the shorter tour. You won’t miss a thing if you’re not going to the greenhouses, because that’s boring. Unless you want to look at some tomatoes and pay 10 euros for a small cup of tomato soup and waste half an hour there, if you want all that, I could definitely recommend you the longer tour. Yeah.
The thing that I love about Iceland are it’s many colours. I think I said the same thing in the previous post, but it’s incredible that you’re able to drive through an entirely different landscape every 15 minutes or so. The day before I was visiting black beaches (there are some pictures in this post because I forgot them oops) and the next day you’re looking at bright red landscapes. And the hill after that is green again, with black rocks. It’s simply mesmerizing! I’ll just let the pictures do the talking ;)
