Last Saturday I went to Brussels with friends to visit a friend. It was Kingsday that day, which basically means people in The Netherlands dress in orange and get very drunk and annoying (or buy lots of crap at the many flea markets!). So it was nice to fled the country and go to our neighbours. We walked around for hooooours, saw a lot of things, drank some beer, ate some Belgian fries. It was nice! It was my first time in Brussel and I thought it was a nice city :) Very big and prettier than I expected. It was kinda annoying though that almost everyone speaks French (and not Dutch), which is very confusing. When I tried to order chips, it sounded so good in my head (I had been practicing while waiting in the long line, as it were apparently the best chips in Brussels!), it sounded totally ridiculous when I finally uttered the words. My French definitely needs some practice!
So, here are a few snapshots. Well, a few, quite a lot actually. I hope your internet doesn’t break down haha.

Holy shit, these are beautiful! So much green! Those buildings! Those chips look yummy! I remember those comic-style murals on the walls, I loved them so much. I’ve only been in Brussels once and it was my first trip abroad (I was 16), but now I want to go back… :)
That’s a very cute traffic sign, too!
