I know you (the 3 people reading this blog ;)) are dying to see the Iceland pictures, but first a few of London, sorry! Also the picture above will be the most dramatic picture in this post (or probably the most dramatic one I’ve ever taken) so no worries.
Anyway, the reason I flew to London first was because that way the ticket to Iceland would be a lot cheaper than a ticket straight from Amsterdam. Of course you still have to book a hostel in London, but even after all that it would be cheaper. On the way back I had a transfer at London Gatwick, because going to London twice would be a bit too much (and too expensive ;)). The way home took like 12 hours in total, so I’m not sure if I can recommend this method to you haha. But I would do it again if it would save me a lot of money. I flew to Iceland with Wow Air, a newish flight company that offers very cheap flights from/to Iceland! They’re kinda hip (love that hue of purple!) and are kinda quirky (my hand luggage got a tag that said ‘you shall pass!’, love details like that :))
Well, since I’m not sponsored by them or anyone else for that matter, I’ll stop with the boring travel details. The first day was very boring and included a lot of traveling and delayed planes and delayed busses, sigh. But I had one full day in London and this is when I took all these pictures ;) I decided to use my Oystercard (that I had lost on my way to the hostel the night before, but 10 minutes later I found it outside on the pavement, pfew!) and visited a few things, like the Tower Of London (for the poppies, which I found very impressive!), Primrose Hill (cute neighborhood), Camden Town (best food stalls and great for some 15-year-old-emo-self-nostalgia ;)), Brick Lane (for some coffee) and at the end The British Museum. I did all this without any sleep as well by the way, because this Spanish lady in my hostel room was snoring like a bear. Yay!
At this point I had to take a break and just sat here for an hour, being exhausted haha. But it doesn’t matter, because London has stolen my heart 10 years ago and I’ll never grow tired of it <3 P.S. also a bit lost with the direction this blog is taking... at this point I'm just posting some holiday pictures. Not sure if I want to keep this a personal blog, or more like a travel blog (although I should travel a lot more for that ;)) and post articles with tips and stuff, or just pictures or... I don't know! What would you like to see here?

Wooo the poppies and burning skies, so enchanting! I love Camden – my 15-year-old-emo-self was there around this time of year, too, and I would love to visit again as the 23-year-old-less-visibly-emo I am today. Teehee. :) As for the blog: as long as you keep posting your beautiful pictures, I’m perfectly content!

And Iceland! Can’t wait to see those pictures.
