Knitting, part II

IMG_9437blog

What happened since the last post? Well I decided to get a haircut (my hair was growing out weird, not sure if I want longer hair anyway), knitted some more & basically got addicted to LOST! I always watched it on tv but after I missed a few episodes the only thing I could think was “WTF?! Is going on here!”, so I stopped watching. I picked it up this summer again (at season 2!), but never finished it. A month ago I picked it up again and now I’m at season 5. My record is watching 30 episodes a week, ha! What I want to say with this is that I basically have no life!

Anyway, here are some pictures :)

Here’s a new scarf I’m working on! I bought these 20mm needles months ago but never used them, until I founded out about a new sort of.. ‘technique’: just use 3/4 strings instead of 1, that way you’ll have 1 thick string! Knitting this way goes really, really fast so it’s even more fun! And I love the way it looks. This one is going to be a normal scarf, no cowl or anything!

A bit of my wool collection, bought the purple ones today :)

I have bought these pink Converses at the thriftstore this week, only 2 euro. Here in the Netherlands you easily pay 60 euro (which is about 80 dollars!) for a new pair, it’s crazy!

I haven’t been taking outfit pictures in months. Needless to say, my outfits haven’t been really interesting lately. Now I work fulltime I hardly have time left to dress up, and even if I have time, I’m too lazy most of the time. But I love this coat, so here it is! The mess you’re seeing on the picture is also known as my room. Yes, it’s crazy. That is however even a small part of the mess!

I have also started a “52 weeks” project on Flickr. It’s basically the same idea as the 365 days project, only more lame, haha. It basically means you’re taking a picture/selfportrait every week, so you only have to do one a week. It’s not as big as a challenge as the 365 days project, but it is fun and something I need. I really want to start being more creative again, like I used to be. Because I work full time a 365 day project isn’t a good idea since it won’t last long anyway, but a 52 weeks project is perfect! I make one every weekend, since those are the days I’m free. You can see the rest of the project on my Flickr account! Please do, there are more outtakes from today and also older ones which I love. I found these pink branches at the thriftstore (along with the pink Chucks, yes!) and immediately got inspired. I love the outcome :D

I should be more productive blogwise, I never comment on other people’s blogs (although I read a lot of them!) because somehow I feel too.. shy? But I should do it more often, as I realize that getting comments is fun! And I need more people to know about this blog, that’s not going to happen without working for it, ofcourse ;) I’ll try to update more often, I promise!
